For the wellbeing of our campus community, we are currently offering students a virtual meeting option (both phone and Zoom available). 

Students may select their preferred appointment medium when scheduling their appointment.

To make an appointment, log into MustangJOBS and click “Career Center” on the top-right of the screen and then select “Appointments” or call (805) 756-2501 ext. 1.

Scheduled Appointments are your opportunity to meet individually with your Career Counselor and address your specific needs. Appointments range from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the topic.

Career advisors are available to meet one-on-one using Zoom. We are here to support all of your career needs including resume and cover letter review, change of major, career exploration, interviewing, job search, networking, grad school, evaluating job offers, and more.

Monday - Friday | 9:00am - 11:00am and 1:00pm - 3:00pm

  1. Download the free Zoom app with your Cal Poly login information.
    You must have the app downloaded to your computer or phone. Using just the web browser will not allow you to meet privately with a Career Advisor.
  2. During the above times, when you’re ready click to meet with a Career Advisor using your laptop, phone, or tablet.


Meeting with your career counselor is a great way to receive guidance on a wide range of career-related topics such as: career exploration, changing majors, developing career plans, creating a resume, finding internships and full-time jobs, effective networking, developing graduate school plans, and making successful career transitions.

  • Enrolled Cal Poly Students
  • Recent Alumni (within one year of graduation)
  • Cal Poly Alumni (1 hour appointment per academic year)
