The National Association for College and Employers (NACE) defines career readiness as "a foundation from which to demonstrate requisite core competencies that broadly prepare the college educated for success in the workplace and in lifelong career management." Through ongoing research NACE has outlined eight career readiness competencies - career and self-development; communication; critical thinking; equity and inclusion; leadership; professionalism; teamwork; and technology.

Career Services is committed to helping students develop and enhance their career readiness competencies. 

Career and Self-Development -

Proactively develop oneself and one’s career through continual personal and professional learning, awareness of one’s strengths and weaknesses, navigation of career opportunities, and networking to build relationships within and outside one’s organization.
