Career Services offers twelve signature Career Fairs and networking events per year to connect Cal Poly students and alumni with leading employers. Whether you are in your first year and just want to explore and see how it all works, or you are about to graduate and need a full time position – these events are for you! Meet employers and network to learn about full-time, part-time, co-op, or internship opportunities, and come prepared for same-day or next day interviews. All students, from every major, are encouraged to attend!

Career fairs include employers from a diverse range of industries to meet the varied career interests of our students. Cal Poly Career Services will only exclude employers that are not in compliance with our policies.

Career Fairs are just one of the many ways you can engage with employers - check out our student and employer engagement opportunities for all the ways you can connect with employers. 

Career fairs and special networking events are for all currently enrolled Cal Poly students and alumni. The date, time, and location of these events are subject to change.

Preparing for Career Fairs and Networking Events

• Research the most current list of participating employers and the opportunities the have available by visiting the event page on MustangJobs.
  • Add your resume to the Career Fair Opt-in Resume Book. 
• Get yourself ready!
  • Check out our interview tips (and additional resources) and prepare for common questions.

  • Watch our Preparing for the Career Fair (4:00)
• Come see us (virtually, in-person or by phone) or in Career Services virtual drop-in.
  • Make an appointment with your Career Counselor.
• Attend a Workshop. 
• Get your professional attire together. Business attire is suggested. 
• Download your event pass from Cal Poly Now and add it to your Apple or Google wallet. Find out how!

Career Fair Opt-In Resume Books 

Submit your resume to the Career Fair Opt-In Resume Books to connect with potential employers. These books feature resumes from Cal Poly students and alumni seeking internships and full-time positions.

By opting in, you make your resume available to vetted employers registered with Career Services, who may contact you for job opportunities. By participating, you authorize Career Services to share your resume with these employers. 

How to Submit Your Resume

1. Log in to MustangJobs

2. Navigate to the Career Fair event you’re attending

3. Upload your PDF resume

4. Set it as your default resume

5. Mark yourself as “Attending” the event
