Career Services offers twelve signature Career Fairs and networking events per year to connect Cal Poly students and alumni with leading employers. Whether you are in your first year and just want to explore and see how it all works, or you are about to graduate and need a full time position – these events are for you! Meet employers and network to learn about full-time, part-time, co-op, or internship opportunities, and come prepared for same-day or next day interviews. All students, from every major, are encouraged to attend!
Career fairs and special networking events are for all currently enrolled Cal Poly students and alumni. The date, time, and location of these events are subject to change.

Career Fair Opt-In Resume Books
Get your resume in the hands of employers with the Career Fair Opt-in Resume Books. The Career Fair Opt-in Resume Books features resumes from Cal Poly students and alumni who are seeking internship and full-time opportunities. Adding your resume to the book is a great way to enhance your job search and makes it easy for employers to contact (and hire!) you. Only vetted employers who register with Career Services will be given access. By submitting your resume to the opt-in resume book, you are authorizing Career Services to make the document available to employers that have paid for this service.
Preparing for Career Fairs and Networking Events (in-person):
- Research the most current list of participating employers and the opportunities the have available by visiting the event page on MustangJOBS, powered by Handshake. Use the filters to find companies who are hiring for roles that you are interested in. To view job descriptions, click on Jobs, and then and then enter keywords such as the employer’s name. To view job descriptions, click on View Details under the employer’s name.
- Register and sign-up for 1:1 and/or group sessions (virtual only).
- Add your resume to the Career Fair Opt-in Resume Book.
- Come see us (virtually, in-person or by phone).
- Drop-in Hours.
- Attend a Workshop.
- Make an appointment with your Career Counselor.
- Check out our interview tips (and additional resources) and prepare for common questions.
- Get your professional attire together. Business attire is suggested.
- Download the Cal Poly Now App and search for the Career Services guide within the app to easily access career fair information, including an up-to-date list of employers, from the convenience of your smartphone.

Student + Employer Diversity Networking Event
Cal Poly Career Services is delighted to host an event for students from underrepresented groups in all majors to network with employers.
Networking is a critical part of most successful job and internship searches, with many sources citing 70 - 85% of people incorporating the strategy. Students and employers will have the chance to mix and mingle over appetizers. Conversation starters will be provided for those who would like them for the networking portion. This event is:
*Employers are encouraged to send representatives with diverse identities (e.g., ethnicity, ability, LGBTQ+, first-generation, veteran), if possible.
