Ignite your spark by joining us for an upcoming informational session where you'll discover who we are, what we do, and how our programs work. The first 30 minutes will address the most common questions we receive: 1. What is Teach For America? 2. What and where will I teach? 3. What will my salary and finances look like? 4. How does teacher certification work? 5. How will I be trained and supported? We will end with 15 additional minutes of Q&A, at which point you can get your specific questions answered. We will also be sending follow-up resources ahead of our final Teacher Corps application deadline on March 15th. We hope to see you there!

When: Wednesday, March 6th 2024, 11:55 pm - 11:55 pm CST We are excited to announce the spring 2024 Crowe National Case Competition, formerly the Crowe Learn2Lead Program. For this virtual case study competition, teams of two to four students will be asked to provide a solution to a modern business problem. After a preliminary round of judging, eight teams will move on to the final round, where they will present their solution via Zoom. The Crowe National Case Competition allows high-achieving students to experience the firm firsthand through interactive problem-solving, career exploration, and professional networking. After competing in the case competition, students should have a better idea of which areas in our firm might be the best fit for future internships or full-time roles. Join our information session to learn more about how you can tackle real challenges facing your community and jumpstart your career in public health with the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD). NACDD is a national public health non-profit agency focused on the health of the public by strengthening state and national leadership and expertise for chronic disease prevention and control. In this session, the NACDD PHA team will provide an overview of the program, discuss how to become a Service Member, highlight existing Service Members’ experiences, and create a space for questions and answers. To enhance public health resources across the country and support state and local public health settings respond to and recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Public Health AmeriCorps (PHA) program supports the recruitment, training, and development of the next generation of public health leaders. In partnership with a State Health Department or similar agency, local health department(s) or other community-based organization(s), and/or a local YMCA or YMCA State Alliance, Service Members will be placed across fifteen states to advance existing efforts around food and nutrition security, safe physical activity access, social connectedness, and health equity, all within the context of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Please note we are specifically recruiting applicants to serve in Alaska, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and West Virginia.

Christina graduated Cal Poly with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems. She has worked with numerous start ups and learned the importance of making the most of career curve balls. Through a moderated discussion about her journey from Cal Poly to Netflix and beyond attendees will learn about entrepreneurship and how there is no one career path. Attendees will then have time to ask Christina questions to learn more about her experience working in start-ups, navigating career shifts, and beyond.
