New Changes Coming to MustangJobs
Career Services is excited to announce its transition to a new and improved software platform for MustangJobs! We are happy to announce our partnership with Symplicity, which will bring new tools for both students and employers. As we prepare to implement our new platform, here is some information for students, employers, and faculty and staff.
Information for Students
Need help getting started? Use the below action items to help guide the process.
- If you are a currently enrolled student, starting July 1,2024 please use the MustangJobs single-click link in the My Apps section of your My Cal Poly portal to sign on. If you are an incoming student, you will have the single-click link option available once you are matriculated into Cal Poly registrars’ office.
- Log on and become familiar with the new MustangJobs! Review job postings, summer workshops, and begin uploading your hiring documents.

Information for Employers
Need help getting started? Use the below action items to help guide the process.
- Log in into Symplicity and customize your profile.
- On June 24, you may submit your jobs, internships, and other postings in Symplicity for approval. As of this date, all Handshake postings will be declined. Please note: Students will not have access until July 1, 2024.
- Visit our Career Services website for the latest information on career fairs and recruiting.

Information for Staff and Faculty

- Starting June 17th, if you want to post jobs for your department, create an account on Symplicity. Check out our Faculty and Staff MustangJobs Onboarding Guide for step-by-step instructions.
- On June 24th, you may submit your jobs, internships, and other postings in Symplicity for approval. As of this date, all Handshake postings will be declined. Please note: Students will not have access to Symplicity until July 1, 2024.
- Starting July 1, if you are interested in viewing student jobs, employers attending career fairs, or any of our workshops, please log into MustangJobs on your portal.
- Please note that the two accounts are not connected. However, you may use the same email address for both accounts. If you have both accounts set up, we recommend opening an incognito window or using a different browser if the system redirects to the incorrect user type.
- Visit our Career Services website for the latest information on career fairs and recruiting.
- “MustangJOBS, powered by Handshake” will now be referred to as “MustangJobs.” Career Services asks that all references to Handshake be removed and that any references to “MustangJOBS” be modified to “MustangJobs” on your department website and any marketing material.
